Hollywood Glamour

I’ve always loved the old Hollywood glamour photos and so I came up with this concept and then created the hair and makeup for photographer Douglas Dubler in the early 80s. The model is Ewa Mari Johannson.
DETROIT BEAUTY 1968

It was the morning after a fab night on the town but my girls still had their falls, wigs and 4 pair of eyelashes on. I got out my little camera and posed my best friend Julia (she was sooo cool and taught me how to booga-lou) still wearing a bed sheet with her chic girlfriend of the moment. Vogue had nothing on us Sugar….in Detroit of 68.
THE MAD HATTER

My concept for the month of March of Alexia Singer. Photo by Douglas Dubler, makeup by DFR.
PIERRE CARDIN….

“Pierre Cardin: 60 Years of Innovation” is a monument to the French designer’s oeuvre. Written by his long-term collaborator Jean-Pascal Hesse, the book vividly illustrates Mr. Cardin’s career through images of colorful circle furniture and visionary zippered-jersey masculine sportswear.

Ran into Jenny at the JEFFERY FASHION CARES event last night. She was just as nice as she is beautiful.

JACLYN SMITH AND ME

It was around 1986 and we were shooting with famed fashion/beauty photographer Patrick Demarchelier for a magazine cover and inside editorial. Towards the end of the shoot Patrick asked me to sit in with Jackie for a portrait. Jaclyn was and still is a great beauty and hasn’t changed a bit over the years….wish the same could be said for me.

A Makeup Line by Adam Lambert?

Rumors about Adam bringing out his own line of makeup sound great to me, but appear to be false according to Lambert’s own blog. Too bad….I think MAC cosmetics and Adam Lambert could create a fantastic line together.
