Born in Japan Rumiko came to New York to find fame as a makeup artist. I first heard of her in the early 80s when she became known as a top editorial makeup artist working for Vogue. Rumiko’s work was always dramatic, artistic, and strong…using intense black on the eyes. Jed Root Inc. is her agent.

In the late 90’s she started her makeup line RMK in Tokyo where it continues to be very popular today.
