It’s A Prom Mess…

It was definitely a Prom mess for Kevin. First of all that didn’t even look like something a teenage girl would wear to a Prom. It was a cheap looking shade of red and it made the girl look dumpy and frumpy. So we had to say farewell to the ever confident Kevin, who vows that we will be seeing his designs again in the near future. And I’m sure we will… at least on Blogging Project Runway.

Christian was the other designer the judges almost auffed. Nina was especially upset that he blamed his Prom girl for his troubles. But even with the limited air-time we got to see, his model was acting a little too cute, telling Christian she was “a fashion designer”. So I think he did get thrown off his game. But actually I think his main problem was working with a big boote’. Plus just like the candy challenge last week Christian went into it with a bad attitude…better be careful little sprite.

Ricky was the one I thought would be out. That pale beige color really did wash out the Prom girl and the shape wasn’t figure flattering either. But once again he slid by. I’m not sure…did Ricky cry at all this episode? I miss that shizz. Not really.

Victorya was the big winner with her 60’s inspired halter dress. What an improvement over last weeks space-age ruffled apron. And I have to admit it was cute and chic and fun all at the same time, in electric blue no less. And most important, age appropriate, unlike so many of the others.
Rami,
Chris
and Sweet P’s designs were all well done but too sophisticated for teenagers. Although I have seen photos of actual Prom queens that wore dresses way too sexy and mature for their age…they all want to look like the stars they see on the red carpet. Which is a shame really…you’re only young once!
